Shoppes Job Fair Draws 2000+ Eager Applicants
By 7:30 AM, most of the vendors had set up their booths to accept applicants for restaurants and retailers at the new Shoppes at Chino Hills. The grand opening is coming up in May and retailers want to be ready.

Chino Hills High School Hosts WGASC Contest
Over 60 schools compete. Chino Hills High School hosted a Winter Guard Association of Southern California contest on April 12th. Over 60 school teams from all over Southern California participated. Critiques are offered by judges who review each team's performance and who prepare tapes to help teams to understand the scoring system.

Feds to Bill Chino Slaughterhouse $67 Million for Massive Beef Recall
If the slaughterhouse can't pay, which is likely, taxpayers will pick up the bill. The federal government will bill a California slaughterhouse more than $67 million for expenses associated with the largest beef recall in U.S. history. (Source: LA Times & Daily Bulletin)

Seats Available on Chino Valley Unified School District’s Citizen’s Oversight Committee
Chino Valley Unified School District will have four openings on the Citizen's Oversight Committee when current committee members' terms expire on June 30, 2008. One vacancy is for a parent or guardian with a child enrolled in the District. The remaining three vacancies are for at-large members.

Identities / Photos of Four Killed in a 60 Freeway Crash Released
A grisly car crash killed four members of a church group and closed a freeway east of Los Angeles for hours Friday, authorities said. One other victim remains in critical condition. (Source:KNX1070.com)
