Chino Hills Pool Plan Ordered
Aquatics complex has been on city's wish list for a long time. Preliminary cost and design assessments began this week on a plan to build an aquatic center, pools and a community center on the site of the old Chino Hills civic center. With city operations moving to a new government center near the corner of Grand Avenue and Peyton Drive later this year, officials are studying the possibility of bringing the new public recreational amenities to 2001 Grand Ave.

SB Stadium being readied for Little League tournament
The Little League Western Regionals begin Aug. 1. This is easily Pete Esquivel's favorite time of the year. The Barstow resident has never tired of Little League baseball, and on a warm Thursday morning he and a handful of other volunteers were working to manicure the field at Al Houghton Stadium.
