Looks Like There Won't be an Election In Chino Hills
As of Friday, August 8th, only two persons, Council Member Gwenn Norton-Perry and Planning Commissioner Art Bennett, have filed their papers to run for the Chino Hills City Council so on Tuesday, the Council will decide whether to cancel the election and just appoint the two candidates to the two open council seats. According to a Press Release issued, August 7, 2008, the Chino Hills City Council has declared a Stage II Water Alert in accordance with its updated Water Conservation Ordinance that was adopted in July. This moves water conservation from a voluntary effort to a daily requirement. Cities against revenue raids
Chino Hills mayor says resources are better spent locally. Local city officials are voicing opposition to the possibility of state leaders borrowing local revenue to help solve a deadlocked budget.
