When Chick-fil-A opened a restaurant in Chino Hills four years ago, it began providing sustenance to Chino Valley Unified students with educational programs that recognized achievement in the classroom. When Liz Novak entered California State University Long Beach, she envisioned herself as an interior designer. Local Church Helps Grandparents Of Crash Victim's Children Build Garden
One church group spent a recent Sunday building a garden for a home touched by tragedy. About 20 members of the Mosaic Inland Church of Chino participated in this year's nationwide Big Sunday community service event by helping build a garden and cleaning the yard at the Chino Hills home of Jose and Manuela Sabedra. The Sabedras care for their two grandchildren, the surviving children of a Chino Hills woman, Alicia Paul, who along with her 4-month-old son was killed in a car crash last year.

As we met the football team from Ayala High School at the picturesque, Chino Hills Community Park across from their school, we knew that the Nike SPARQ Team Challenge’s West truck was in for a good day. All 88 kids on hand were all really polite, respectful and happy to have SPARQ at their school to test their metal. Second year Head Coach, Tom Inglima has this to say about the event. "Having you guys come out to our school makes these kids feel like they are making progress and that they are being recognized for their hard work."

Students from Townsend Jr. High and Oak Ridge Elementary Win Science Competition
Twenty-two students from San Bernardino County schools advanced to the 57th annual California State Science Fair after receiving top honors at the 2008 Inland Area Science and Engineering Fair at the National Orange Show on April 16.
