"Faults are capable of producing some very big earthquakes"
Four major faults capable of producing a magnitude-7.5 earthquake sandwich the proposed NFL stadium and retail complex planned by developer Ed Roski.
For millions of years those faults, the Whittier, Puente Hills, San Jose and Chino Hills, have formed the landscape of the property which lies near the junction of the 57 and 60 freeways.
A minor fault, known as the Peralta, sits just a few miles south of the site, officials said.
