On September 28th, the "A Women's Care Center" held Locks for Life where volunteers including some of the finest hairdressers in the area gave hair cuts and styles, free of charge. The event was a great success. All proceeds went to the A Women's Care Center. Director, Norma Murakami stated, "This will help us in the purchasing and up-dating office equipment, and all the many needs that go along with the rapid growth of a new ministry, in order to help Babies, women and men in need. Many wonderful hair dressers want to use their gifts and talents towards our ministry."
The Center has experienced wonderful growth over the past year and is finding that their most important outreach is advising and helping other centers who want to reach out and help women in crises pregnancy situations. The Center offers pregnancy counseling and advice to expectant mothers with an accent on choosing life over abortion.
Their next fund raiser will be held on November 21st at the Los Serranos Country Club.
