The Chino Valley Independent Fire District is accepting applications to fill one Board Member vacancy on the Board of Directors for the District.
The individual appointed to fill the vacancy will hold office until December 2011, when the seat is filled through an all-mail ballot election on August 30, 2011, for a four-year term expiring November 2015. The Board of Directors are responsible for formulation and review of District policy and for monitoring the District's progress in attaining its goals and objectives.
Board Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month, commencing at 6:00 p.m. Special Board meetings and committee meetings may also be held at various times throughout the month. Applicants must legally reside within the District boundaries and must be registered voters to qualify for appointment to the Board of Directors. Applicants must submit a completed Fire District
Application, a resume and a letter explaining why you would like to serve as a Board Member for the District. The submittal deadline for applications and resumes is 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2009. Applications are available at the Chino Valley Independent Fire District Administration Headquarters located at 14011 City Center Drive, Chino Hills.
