For the first time in league history, Canyon Hills Little League has a team advancing to play in a Little League Baseball Western Region Tournament. The Canyon Hills Senior All-Star team will play in the Senior Division Western Region Tournament being held at Upland Memorial Park in Upland, and Jay Littleton Ball Park in Ontario, August 4th - August 11th. The Regional winner will be advancing to the Little League Senior Division World Series in Bangor, Maine.

This year's Senior Division Western Region tournament is being hosted by Little League's California District 23. With the tournament Host Leagues being Upland National Little League and Ontario Eastern Little League. Teams from Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington will be playing, as well as a team from both Northern California and Southern California. Canyon Hills will be the Host team representing District 23.

Canyon Hills advanced to the Western Region Tournament by winning District 23's All-Star Tournament with a 5-1 Record. Canyon Hills used victories of 16-1 vs Upland National, 7-1 vs. Montclair, 13-0 vs Ontario Central, and 4-3 vs. Creekside Ranch to advance to the District 23 finals. Following an extra inning loss of 3-4 vs. Creekside Ranch, Canyon Hills used a 4-run final inning rally to win in stunning fashion 9-8 vs Creekside Ranch the following night.

Canyon Hills will play its first Regional game on Tuesday, August 4th at 7pm in Upland, at Upland Memorial Park against the Nevada State Champion from Las Vegas. Their second game will be against the Washington State Champion on August 5th at 4pm in Ontario, at Jay Littleton Park in Ontario. They will also play August 6th vs the Arizona Champion and August 9th vs the Southern California representative, with both games being played at 4pm at Upland Memorial. Playoff games to determine the Western Region World Series participant will be held on Monday and Tuesday, August 10th and 11th. Monday's games will be at 4pm and 7pm, with Tuesday's Championship game being held at 7pm. All playoff games will be held at Jay Littleton Park.

The Canyon Hills Senior team includes: Joey Antos, Andrew Blyzka, Brett Burton, Braden Crockett, Chase Deushane, Drew Dufresne, Connor Freeman, Ryan Hill, Kelly Houston, Collin Lee, Matt Makarounas, Mikey Mendez, Steven Ortiz, Tim Rangel, and Sean Santos. The team is managed by Chris Rangel, and coached by Brian Freeman, Joe Antos, and Ron Hill.
