On Saturday, February 27, Canyon Hills Little League and Chino Hills Little League will be celebrating their Opening Day for the 2010 Spring Season at Chino Hills Community Park. Approximately 5,000 people are expected to attend.
Ceremonies start at 11 AM and are concluded at 12 noon with the annual fundraiser raffle. The grand prize this year is $10,000. Second prize is $5,000. Third prize is $2,500. There will be three prizes of $1,000 and five prizes of $500. There will also be approximately $2,000 in additional prizes.
Tickets can be purchased on the day of the raffle until 10am. Some of the local vendors who will be supporting the leagues at Opening Day are Jojo's Pizza, Papachino's, Chic-fil-a, Arby's, Laser Quest, and Dick's Sporting Goods among others.
Canyon Hills LL will have games all day after the ceremony starting with a Challenger division game at 12:30pm on field #3. Everyone in the community is welcome. There will not be any fee to enter and witness where the Road to the Little League World Series begins.
