The speaker will be Dr. Elmer B Pineda who is a specialist in the field of Robotic Surgery. His talk will be an introduction on how robotic surgery will work. He will share the advantages of using robotic surgery in today's operating rooms.
Dr. Elmer B. Pineda received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California at Berkley and his Medical Degree from the University of California at Davis. He completed his internship and residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in 2001 and began his practice with Inland Urology Medical Group and PVHMC in 2001.
He became Board Certified with the American Board of Urology in 2003. He has also been an Assistant Clinical Instructor at Western University Medical School since 2003.
Dr. Pineda is certified in the use of Holmium Laser, Greenlight Laser, Laparoscopy, and Radiography and Fluoroscopy. He is a member of several committees including the Graduate Medical Education Committee, Blood Utilization Review Committee, Surgical Case Review Committee and Critical Care Committee. Dr. Pineda lives in Claremont, is married and has four children.
