(That is the fear of Shakespeare)

Until recently, Chino-based actor Jeff Deards had what he refers to as "bardophobia," or a fear of Shakespeare. Then he was cast in the role of Macduff in the Inland Empire Shakespeare Festival's production of "Macbeth."

Despite years of appearing on stages throughout the Inland region and winning numerous awards, Deards said he had never done Shakespeare and that he was afraid of "the undiscovered country."

Having been offered the role, Deards went about doing research on the Web site FearNoShakespeare.com...
