Supporters of the Chino High School agricultural program expressed more than disappointment that the school board postponed a decision whether to continue the program or merge it with Don Lugo High.
"We are offended and hurt, and I would say more hurt by it than anything," said Chino High parent Brenda Diederichs, chairwoman of the Save Chino's Ag Program Committee.
The Chino Valley Unified school board on Nov. 6 voted 4-1 to postpone the consolidation and to bring it back for consideration no later than February and as soon as possible.
Supporters were expecting the board to save the program at Chino High.
"Waiting till February will kill the program," Diederichs said.
"Having action as late as February means we can't recruit students for the program...
