Over 60 schools compete

Chino Hills High School hosted a Winter Guard Association of Southern California contest on April 12th. Over 60 school teams from all over Southern California participated. Critiques are offered by judges who review each team's performance and who prepare tapes to help teams to understand the scoring system. Scholarships and service awards are to be given later this year to student members of units competing at the championships.

Chino Hills High School has an avid music program. Their marching band and color guard won second place overall and first place in percussion at the Western Band Association (WBA) Grand Championships in Monterey Park, 2007.
