Chino Hills, resident, Dan McKinnon (aka Danny Magic) will perform at the Magic Castle in Hollywood on September 21st through the 27th and is inviting Chino Hill's residents to come and see him perform (there are a limited number of passes so time is of the essence).
McKinnon who owns D & B Custom Ceilings, an acoustic ceiling removal and lighting company, has been interested in magic since he was a child and has performed magic for parties and events world-wide. In 2000, Dan won 4th place in the International Brotherhood of Magicians World Convention against 30 pros from around the world.
McKinnon who grew up in La Mirada became interested in magic as a child. His father, who worked at Disneyland, instilled a love for the craft in him. Luckily, there was a magic store nearby and Dan visited often to get ideas and learn new tricks. The rest is history.
Dan's client list includes IBM, Honda, Nickelodeon, Qualcomn, Sony, and this last Christmas, he performed 6 weeks at Disneyland. Dan is a past president of the Orange County International brotherhood of magicians magic club, as well as a Close up magic champion; He has also taken first place at the Orange county magic clubs annual
competition.
Dan can be scene performing occasionally at local restaurants, parties, and Corporate events. He donated his talent last year and performed at Ayala high schools grad night party. He's also appeared at a recent Cyn in the City night held at the Wine Down Winery.
But by far his favorite venue to perform at is the exclusive Hollywood Magic Castle. This is a private club, and home of the Academy of Magical Arts. (Pretty much the world headquarters of magic).

There are four showrooms of magic and generally 6 magicians performing every night along with "The Ghost of Irma" who plays the piano and will play your requests on demand.
Magicians only get to perform once per year at the Magic Castle and only by invitation. The Magic Castle is a membership club and has been there for over 50 years. Milt Larson, who started The Magic Castle was a writer for Truth or Consequences.
Suit and Tie are required. The Magic Castle is located at 7001 Franklin Avenue in Hollywood, CA 90028-8600 right below Yamashiro Restaurant.
