(CHINO HILLS, CA) - Residents and officials will dedicate the new library at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2009. Afterward, both the 28,000-square-foot library and the 59,000-square-foot Chino Hills Government Center City Hall are open to the public.

The James S. Thalman library and city hall are part of a four-building- $54-million Government Center. Designed by the civic design experts at LPA Inc, this 50-acre redevelopment project creates a new downtown hub.

"Within the family of projects at the Civic Center, the library is the one building that gets to have a little fun," says Jim Wirick, Managing Civic Principal at LPA Inc. "Well behaved" on the outside, the inside is playful, bright and spacious allowing children of all ages to explore, grow and learn."
