Burnt Brush
Hay and feed needed

This messaged reached us via a recent Hills for Everyone email.

Heaven's Ranch is a Local Working Cattle Ranch, Boarding Facility and Best of All an Animal Rescue, Operating Since 1906. The recent wildfires destroyed nearly 70% of their grazing land and almost 100% of its productive food source. One of the main sources of income is the money brought in by raising and auctioning beef cattle fed on those pastures. The ranch's current livestock consists of over 70 horses of which 25% are Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Pregnant Mares Urine Rescues or "PMUs" as they are called. These horses are taken in, rehabilitated and placed in loving homes. Due to the worsening economy the ranch now has over 10% of the previously boarded horses (as in, they had owners that brought them to the ranch!) now abandoned.

There are many horses that have come to the ranch starved and neglected due to the high cost of hay. Not to mention the required veterinarian costs related to these rescues. Heaven's Ranch is in dire straits due to the recent catastrophic wildfire. The loss of the grazing land coupled with the rising cost of hay has further stressed economic stability of the ranch. Heaven's Ranch has always done it's best to take in abused and neglected animals and hopes to continue to do so through the generosity and support of the public. Currently the ranch's nearly 100 head of cattle are in desperate need of hay such as bermuda or alfalfa.
