So far, although fires have devastated Southern California, Chino Hills has remained very lucky. We must give credit to the firefighters who have come from all over California. On Saturday night, they worked through the entire night building fire breaks and controlled burns to rid the hillsides of fuel that came closer to the homes. Apparently, the full moon was a great aid to them.

On Sunday morning, there were at least 50 vehicles on Butterfield Ranch road conducting a fire break and controlled burn. We ran into several photographers, both amateur and professional, who have submitted some of their photos and online galleries. We invite anyone who has amazing pictures to submit links to them or to submit them to us. Thanks.

Local photographer, Craig Gillette sent us a link to these photos of the Chino Hills fires. Most of them were taken at the La Sierra trail-head or a hilltop off Rancho Hills Dr.
