Official sites issues related to soil cleanup and enrollment

An elementary school in San Dimas and an early education center in Chino Hills were the combined recipients of about $2 million in State Allocation Board funds Thursday. But the Chino Hills Early Education Center, part of the San Bernardino County Office of Education, might not open.

Dan Evans, spokesman for San Bernardino County schools, said the plans for the center were on hold because "of the budget situation and declining enrollment." The center was allocated $336,000 by the state.
