We received the following email from his mother and family who are trying to locate him. Please report any information you may have to the San Bernardino county Sheriff's Office (909) 465-6638 or the Polly Klaas Foundation (800) 587-4357. Please consider printing and posting the Missing Flyer in your place of business and showing it to your teens in case they may have seen him. We are printing Ms. Herrera's email below as we received it:
"Greetings to all my family, friends and business associates:
I'm saddened to have to inform you that my son, Carlos Salazar has been missing for almost 3 weeks. My other 2 children & I last saw him in our home in Chino Hills on July 8th at approximately 1:00 PM. He was reported missing to our local sheriff's department immediately. There are 2 detectives actively searching for him along with 5 other foundations and organizations specializing in locating missing children. Flyers have been distributed to over 150 locations and businesses. And our church along with others have been praying for his safe return.
Please take a quick look at the flyer I've attached. If possible show it to your teenagers; perhaps someone has seen him. His brother, sister and I are very concerned for him and we pray to find him soon. Though the uncertainty of his whereabouts is consuming and absolutely overwhelming I rest in knowing that I've done everything possible to locate him and it now rests on my God's hands. Faith begins when the control of the circumstances are out of our hands and into the hands of He who is All Powerful and will get us through this trial.
I'm reminded of Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
I've been dwelling in His promises to find comfort. And reminding myself of the words in one of my favorite songs by Casting Crowns; Praise You in the Storm (you can search on Utube to listen to the song & video) And YES... I will praise Him even in the storm. I honestly don't know what I would do without HIS strength in my life. Thank you for your love and support. Lord bless you all!
