Officers of the Chino Police Department made seven arrests on Tuesday, after locating a stolen 2010 silver Honda Civic parked in front of a residence in the 13100 block of Chukar Court. As Officers conducted surveillance on both the vehicle and home, they observed a second vehicle leaving the residence. Officers stopped and searched the vehicle, locating 3.5 grams of methamphetamine, resulting in the arrest of the driver, Branden Choi, 25, from Cerritos.
Officers then served a search warrant on the house on Chukar Court. During the search, Officers detained several individuals in the home and discovered two handguns and a riffle, as well as over four grams of methamphetamine, evidence associated with the sale of methamphetamine, and three counterfeit $100 bills.
The seven arrested in conjunction with this case are:
~ Branden Choi, 25, from Cerritos, was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
~ Tim Giles, 48, from Chino, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling for unlawfully providing controlled substances.
~ Trinh Nguyen, 21, from Chino, was charged with possession of methamphetamine for sale and for being a felon in possession of ammunition.
~ Hieugod Tran, 32, from Chino was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and for being a felon in possession of ammunition.
~ Jimmy Truong, 23, from Westminster, was arrested on a no-bail, felony warrant for burglary.
~ Le Nguyen, 33, from Rowland Heights, was charged with grand theft auto.
~ Connie Chung, 29, from Chino was arrested on a misdemeanor traffic warrant.
