Division of OPARC adopts a new look

OPARC, the non-profit organization that provides services to more than 650 adults with developmental disabilities in the Inland Empire, has adopted a new logo for its Diversified Industries Division. The logo incorporates the division's new tag line: "Competitive Prices from Dependable People who Care."

Diversified Industries, commonly known as "DI", employs more than 200 workers with Down Syndrome, autism, epilepsy, and mental retardation, in a Montclair-based facility that assembles and packages goods for more than 25 Southern California businesses.

The logo symbolizes the primary business objective of DI"s Work Activity Program - performing high quality assembly and packaging tasks for local businesses at a competitive price.

The logo resulted from several months of market research, followed by an extensive design process. Students from the Art Institute of California-Inland Empire, located in the City of San Bernardino, produced more than 15 initial designs, from which the final logo was chosen.

"This new logo helps OPARC and Diversified Industries gain visibility in the business community,' said Ronald P. Wolff, President/CEO. "We are always looking for new business partners so that we can provide a meaningful work experience for our clients."

DI workers perform many different kinds of tasks, including shrink-wrapping, blister packing, collating, folding, labeling, re-packing, and assembly. Some of its current business partners include Toyota, Appleton Lane, McCoy Enterprises, Simpson Strong-Tie, Pedmar, PrimeLine, IBC, Zephyr, and Alvarado Manufacturing.

Local businesses interested in securing a quote for packaging and/or assembly should contact Butch Jones, DI Vice President and General Manager, at (909) 982-4090 extension 27.
