At 5:13 pm on Thursday, February 18, Chino Valley Fire District Firefighters responded to a reported commercial fire at American Beef Packers on the 13600 block of Yorba Avenue in Chino.
Firefighters made entry into the structure and found a conveyor belt on fire. Firefighters attacked the fire and were able to confine it to the machinery of origin. The Fire was completely extinguished within 30 minutes of firefighter arrival.
Employees at the facility self evacuated prior to firefighter arrival. One employee was treated by Chino Valley Fire District personnel and was transported to Chino Valley Medical Center by ground ambulance. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
There were five Chino Valley Fire District engines and one truck company on scene. American Medical Response provided one ambulance.
