Construction workers who have lost their jobs due to the housing slump may get the opportunity to transition into commercial construction through a new effort of Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

The two counties are collaborating on the Inland Counties Construction Consortium to provide retraining for residential construction workers seeking jobs in commercial construction.
