The Kidz-n-Biz Project is up and going...

Who would have ever thought that kids would have their own mall. Well it's sort of a mall. This summer kids from 3rd - 8th grade are being trained on how to do business. There is a classroom setting for 13 weeks and the application of what the kids learn in class will be put into practice in the parking lot of CentrePoint Christian Fellowship, hence the Kidz-n-Biz Mall.

On June 25th there will be a Pre-Grand Opening for one hour only that the kids will offer their products and services. On Wednesday July 2nd the Grand Opening of the Kidz-n-Biz Mall will happen. Some of the businesses represented will be offering homemade doggy treats, handmade jewelery, shaved ice, popcorn and there may even be an author among the kids who is working on publishing his own book.

So far there are 18 kids in the project who are participating as business owners or team members. Each business owner and their teams are promoting their businesses on their own trying to get as many people to show up as possible. Any person who shows up with a certain invitation ticket or flyer with a particular kid's name on it gets 100 points.

As people show up with copies of this article all the Kidz-n-Biz Owners will receive 100 points each. It's the malls way of generating traffic for the Kidz-n-Biz Owners.

Kidz-n-Biz Mall Opens Wednesday July 2, 2008. It will be open from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The mall is located in the parking lot of CentrePoint Christian Fellowship 6251 Schaefer Avenue Chino, CA on the corner of Mountain and Schaefer Avenues. Local residents are encouraged to attend.

The project also has some great incentives for the kids. The winners will be chosen from among 3rd and 4th graders, 5th and 6th graders and 7th and 8th graders. In each category the Grand prize winners will receive $500, the second place winners will receive $300 and the third place winners will receive $200.

One of the ways the project is raising funds is receiving donations for the T-Shirts the Kids have designed. Suggested Donation is $10.00 per T-Shirt. Local business owners are also contributing in kind gifts and cash. Sponsors are still being sought for all size donations.
