Chino Hills Community Meeting

On Wednesday, February 24, 2010 7:00 p.m. at Chino Valley Community Church (in the worship center) 14601 Peyton Drive, Chino Hills a meeting will be held to update the community on the latest happenings regarding the power lines planned to run thought Chino Hills.

The City of Chino Hills is extremely disappointed with the California Public Utilities Commission action to approve Southern California Edison's Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project on a route that cuts right through Chino Hills neighborhoods.

The CPUC-approved route takes Southern California Edison power lines that have been inactive for 30-years or more, and nearly doubles their size, with new poles as tall as 198 feet, and lines that carry 500,000 volts. The new lines and poles are in close proximity to Chino Hills residents.

So What Does the City Do Now?

Attend this community meeting for an update on what's happening now.

The community meeting will provide:

- An Update on What The City Has Done So Far

- An Overview of the Project and the Process

- A Glimpse of the CPUC Vote and

- The Commissioners Comments

- When They Approved the Project

- An Overview of the Citys Current Efforts

- A Closing Q & A Session
