What is it?
The Perris Auto Speedway
Only 35 miles from Chino Hills is the Perris Auto Speedway. On the night we went, we saw what was called the World of Outlaws race. This is an exciting type of race to watch. The oval dirt track is only one mile in circumference and the main event of the evening consisted of 26 cars running 30 laps each so there was no lack of action.
The best part of this kind of racing is that you can be very close to the race. By the end of the night, your hair will be full of dirt clumps thrown off the field and your mouth will have a taste of methanol in it. It is real close, down and dirty race action.
There are several types of modified car races there each season including Sprint Cars, Super Stocks, Street Stocks, California Cruisers, and Modifieds. Ticket prices average about $18.00 for adults and $8.00 for kids. Special events are around $40.00. Check their web site for details... www.perrisautospeedway.com
