It's too easy to find someone today

SACRAMENTO - A California program that lets victims of domestic violence and sexual assault hide their whereabouts turns 10 next year after aiding more than 4,000 people.

Safe at Home lets participants have their bills, magazine subscriptions, voter pamphlets and other mail sent to a state address in Sacramento and then secretly forwarded to their homes.

About 2,100 people statewide were enrolled in Safe at Home at the beginning of the year, 42 percent of them women and 55 percent children.

There were 105 participants in Riverside County and 80 in San Bernardino County. Participants have to re-enroll after four years.
