We heard some reports that attendance was a little down from previous years but I certainly couldn't tell from my visit on Sunday night. As always, our own Council Member, Bill Kruger, was visible volunteering with a vigilant group of safety personal to keep people safe in and around the area and there was quite a large crowd for the last night.
While parents enjoyed watching their kids have fun (and getting dizzy) on rides, hundreds of others played BINGO and participated in the Treasure Chest Raffle. Mr. Joe Kahn was the stunned winner of the grand prize of $20,000. While entrants watched player after player attempting to open the treasure chest, Mr. Kahn chose the right key to win.
Music was provided throughout the evening by local band, The Road to Damascus. There was no shortage of food either. Visitors had the choice of Filipino, Italian, American, and Mexican fare of all types.
