I've been contemplating the future of ChinoHills.com. Since the Internet began, the online address has been either a parking place for advertisements or nothing at all. We purchased the URL this year as part of a goal to create a place online where our community, one that I love, can get together and communicate.
Although this is a privately owned web site, I envision a place where locals can share diverse information and eventually debate ideas and opinions in a controlled and civil environment. I hope that this place will become a voice for many of the smaller local groups that are trying to organize for various purposes and a place where ordinary citizens can share news about their interests, families, friends, local sports, news, and who knows what else.
I've always been a supporter of the community and the businesses that operate nearby. Although the web site name is ChinoHills.com it will include the businesses and people of Chino as well. I expect to take a bit of flack over that but our communities and businesses are too closely intertwined for us to ignore our commonalities (and besides, this is a business). We all live, play, and shop both within Chino Hills and Chino.
Anyway, the idea is to create a community based, community focused website at an easy-to-remember online address and therefore we chose "www.ChinoHills.com". From very soon and forward, it will be our goal to make this address one of the most useful local web sites in the neighborhood. I look forward to hearing your input and your ideas. Please don't hesitate to contact us with your ideas and any suggestions. The web site is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Write to "TheEditor (at) ChinoHills.com.
