The City of Chino Hills is working with Census officials to be sure that everyone in Chino Hills is counted. An accurate count is important to the City because the Census numbers will be used by the Federal government to determine how much Federal tax money is returned to the City through various programs and grant opportunities. The demographic information gathered through the Census will also help the City develop programs tailored to meet the needs of the community. Residents are encouraged to complete and return the Census forms that will be delivered in March. The Census Bureau cannot share your answers with others. All information gathered is confidential. Any Census Bureau employee who violates these provisions is subject to a fine up to $250,000, a prison sentence up to five years, or both. The Federal government will not use the information for anything other than to compile demographic statistics. The 2010 Census will have one of the shortest questionnaires in the history of the United States. The form will be so simple that it will only take about ten minutes to complete. Be counted! Please make sure to mail in your questionnaire. For more information please visit the official Census Bureau website at www.census.gov.
