The Creme Colour Lounge is one of the more interesting salons in Chino Hills. It has a personality and character of its own and will make your experience more memorable, an experience rather than a routine. A look at their "menu" helps to explain: You can choose from an Associate or Master Associate with more experience if you don't mind spending a little more. They work on "Dames" and "Guys" For hair coloring >>

On Super Bowl Sunday I attended the memorial services of a man I had not talked to in 20 years. He was a basketball mentor for me in the 70's, and helped change my philosophy of the game, influenced my basketball coaching career, and sparked a love of the game that is still strong. Bill was a college coach for years so we listened to players and other coaches talk of legacies, relationships, commitments, God and family. It was uplifting to hea >>

Chino Hills estate planning attorney shares knowledge.
Simply stated, an Estate Plan is your plan regarding how your most important assets will be protected (your home, children and other assets). A good Estate Plan should answer the following: (1) How are you going to protect your assets? (2) How are you going to protect yourself from the unexpected? and (3) How are you going to have your assets distributed? Regardless of whether you have something in writing or not, everyone has an Estate Plan. T >>

So is it a 'good thing' that your family moved to Chino Hills? For Denise and I, our move to CH happened by accident back in '88. Our boys were starting elementary school, and we needed to escape downtown Anaheim and its underachieving schools. The move was unbelievably beneficial for our family. I just hope our sons can find the same quality of live as they grew up with here in our city. Time will tell if adulthood for Kyle (lives in Riversi >>

Family, friends, get-togethers, food, music, decorations...I love it all. I especially want to thank you for reading my monthly article. This begins the 19th year of 'communication to Chino Hills'. Visit a local treasure and find a bargain
Harwell's Furniture Store in Chino will be staying open a little later on Thursday night, November 12, as the host to Cyn in the City Night from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Harwell's is located in a most historic (but beautifully preserved) building in San Bernardino County that used to serve as a packing house. It is much larger inside than it appears from the outside with a full upholstery department downstairs. There are businesses and then there >>

Our family life has reached another season of change. Within a matter of two weeks, our son Brett was hired by the Department of Defense, left the country, and now is working in Afghanistan for a year. Denise and I are happy for him since that is what he wants to do but you know, as a parent, 'it' is always on our mind. We will both need more hair color to get through the year. Another family milestone is that I have decided to join the social >>
October 29, 2009By State Assemblyman Curt Hagman (R Ca. - 60th District)
Last month, the California State Assembly considered numerous budget bills and among them was Assembly Bill 23, which authorizes an oil drilling lease off the Santa Barbara Coast (T-Ridge). The plan would have implemented state-of-the-art slant-drilling techniques to increase the amount of oil extracted without increasing the number of oil rigs. Probably best of all, the lease would have allowed new drilling on an existing rig, so the 'footprint' >>

October is a transition month as it signifies the change of summer to fall, and other changes like change #1 - evening weather moving from hot to cool. Love it. Change #2 - When the wife says to change the front yard into a new concept, do it. Change #3 - when the middle adult son starts house shopping, appreciate it. Change #4 - pro baseball finally becomes interesting, watch it. Change #5 - having the military son in a civilian job, even b >>

By State Assemblyman Curt Hagman Assemblyman Curt Hagman (R) represents the Chino Hills and 13 other communities in the California Legislature.
In the past year, our communities have been hit hard with the housing crisis, followed by the state budget crisis, and now another huge challenge looms ahead. The cascading water crisis is here now, so how can we protect the future of the Chino Valley? Replenishing our dwindling water supplies in the Chino Valley must be a top priority for lawmakers in Sacramento. Our existence, our economy and the jobs of millions of Californians are now at >>

Since I have embarked on another full-time gig, my summer off has disappeared so Denise and I have to steal little bits of time around 3-day trips. One was to Mammoth to a really fun event, the Bluesapalooza, which featured blues band (me, not a fan) over two days and a micro-brew fest with 71 breweries throughout the West (me, a huge fan). Let It Be: My Daughter's Legacy: Signing will be from 1:30-3:00 PM at Barnes & Noble Chino Hills
I had the pleasure of being given a copy of the book written by Ruthe Rosen called Let It Be: My Daughter's Legacy. This book has so many layers to it; to sum it up in words seems offensive. I am not usually transfixed by the presidential show during inauguration but was certainly this year. I sat inside Bravo Burger and watched, along with about half of the breakfast crowd, President Obama begin the 44th Presidency. Through Denny, Enzo has gained tremendous insight into the human condition, and he sees that life, like racing, isn't simply about going fast. Using the techn >>
